Transition completed. The entire service is now in its new home. We're still testing. If you come across anything weird let us know.
We've been working on this transition project for several months now. Hope it's not too early, but kudos to our team: Noam, Shlomi and Shahar who just spent two entire weeks in NY working almost day and night in building the new facility and transitioning the data and equipment. They've spent several months planning it, and went through every possible effort to reduce what may have been several days of down time to only a few hours.
Lots of things can go wrong in these kind of projects, and they usually do. The team planned between 3 and 5 hours of down time and devliered!
no response from ur support even after 2 days
upload takes forever even for a 14kb file with esnips toolbar
file uploads fail miday ..i was uplaoding arounf 20 small jpegs and gifs (average sie is 60kb)...
esnips toolbar makes my 2Mbps connection worse than a 56kbps dialup...it is so hopeless..
it stops ..trips and all sort of nonsense..just to upload 1656kb it took around 54 minutes..
how sic can it get...i upload stuff to tons of stuff to Rapidsahre or megaupload..never have they given problem while uploading
is sent several emails regarding whole lots of problems and issues while using esnips..but ur reacton has been kneejerk.. just a email here and there..is esnips going through a rough patch or is it like this from start..
even posting a comment on ur ceo's blog has also not helped..
now u tell me- should i still use esnips or move to a better & faster service & a responsive support.

Ganesh, our dev team is checking into the problem you are describing. As of now we are not able to reproduce it, and it doesn't seem to be a general problem as we are not getting repeat emails to suport about it. Our tech team will get back to you on that.

Ms. Elish,
I have been recommended by a business associate of mine to contact you regarding your Net Snippets product.
I spoke to a representative of yours in Switzerland who has informed me that you have closed your company.
I am interested in taking a close look at your product and I was wandering if you have some time this week to chat for few minutes.
Regards,
Roy

If you are going to make a major change such as downloading restrictions you really should communicate with your users---Not only can family members not download my stuff but the main program will not even play....The ability to instantly communicate with millions of members, customers and whoever is the cornerstone of the digital world --- oh well....

We are experiencing performance problems due the very fast growth of the site and had to temporarily remove the download button. blog post on that was just posted on eSnippers den, http://esnippers.typepad.com/esnippers_den/2007/04/site_problems.html. We hope we'll resolve this shortly. John - your point is very valid, we are adding a forum this week with the goal of better communicating these kind of issues as they happen.

what's the point of the new changes? You can't download, or even play(!) music!!
